Welcome to Fort Wayne! The great city of Fort Wayne is our destination this year for the Advanced Elder Law Masters program! Early settlers and Native Americans referred to Fort Wayne as a crossroads because of its strategic location at the convergence of three rivers - the St. Mary's, the St. Joseph, and the Maumee Rivers. The city of Fort Wayne is named after General "Mad" Anthony Wayne, a bold military leader who established the first American fort at the confluence of the three rivers.
If you haven’t visited Fort Wayne lately, you’re in for a nice surprise. There’s more to see and do, and a short walk delivers you to sidewalk cafés, eateries, fine dining, nationally acclaimed museums and art galleries, a vibrant nightlife, live music, stage shows, botanical gardens, an internationally recognized library, and an extensive parks and trails network along Fort Wayne’s three rivers. It’s all part of a re-imagined downtown. The reception will be in the 400 Club, which is just across the street at Parkview Field. This Year's Discussion Topics
