• The Board will explain what documentation is acceptable,
when a whole body rating is required, how to calculate a
multiple digit loss and more
10:00 A.M. Nurse Case Managers – the Final Say

• The ad hoc committee has reviewed and proposed
amendments to the guidance posted on the Worker’s
Compensation Board’s website. Add your comments
before it is officially updated! This session will also include
input from an expert on NCMs, Tim Rankin, who is
Vice President of Operations at PDM. PDM and its RN case
managers focus their work on complicated, lost time worker’s
compensation claims for insurers, TPAs, and self-insured employers.

• Is the availability of effective pain medication to injured
workers being undermined by overly cautious worker’s
compensation carriers in light of narcotic addiction and
overdose issues? Would a State formulary improve or
exacerbate the situation? What if the worker turns to
street drugs to treat pain because physician-ordered
prescriptions won’t be filled by payers? What practitioners
need to know now.

compensable work injury in the time of climate change and
