2:40P.M.A Hitchhiker's Guide to the Qualified Business Income Deduction - Professor Samuel A. Donaldson -- Section 199A allows sole proprietors and the owners of pass-through business entities to deduct up to 20 percent of the net ordinary income from business activities. But with income-based phase-outs, complicated limitations, and a myriad of special provisions for the benefit of certain businesses, determining whether a client can claim a deduction and, if so, to what extent, is a difficult endeavor. This presentation will equip planners to know whether a client is eligible for the deduction, how to compute the deduction, and planning opportunities for maximizing the deduction. 3:40P.M.Break

An estate plan that looked good ten years ago may not be good today, whether because of new laws or new situations. This presentation covers several strategies for “unwinding” one or more of the techniques implemented as part of a prior estate plan.
